Fyi, because we are often limited to 3 athletes per event at meets, it will be at the coaches' discretion who gets entered in which events at the meets (getting entered in a meet is not guaranteed and preference will be given to the faster/ better athletes who regularly come to practice). Also, most middle school meets have only 7th/8th grade divisions, so if a 6th grader gets entered to race, they just need to realize they will be competing against older athletes. At our Homeschool State meet (our final meet on Apr 21-22) divisions are now by grade as well, not age-based like the past. There's not usually a limit on # of entries, so most athletes who wish to, can race in that meet. (For younger siblings 5th graders, only expected meets are Northland on Mar 27 & State meet on Apr 21-22.) |
