Howdy! My name is Bethany Gabriel! I started playing volleyball in 5th grade and then spent most of middle school and high school falling in love with volleyball through several competitive programs including but not limited to, College Station Middle School & High School Volleyball, Brazos Valley Juniors and Woodlands Revolution. Although my playing career ended after high school, volleyball has had a special place in my life through sports camps like TBarM where I coached and lead kids to Christ, managing for the A&M Volleyball team, and now coaching for AHV! I graduated from A&M in ‘22 and I am currently a Flexologist at a studio for assisted stretching called StretchLab. I am passionate about heath and wellness! Volleyball is definitely one way I love to stay active but, fun fact; I am also a certified sailor! I am so excited for this season! Let’s go Panthers!
Hey there! My name is Emma Suel. I am 19 years old and I have played volleyball for nine years. The last two years, I played for the Aggieland Panthers. I grew up in Kenya and moved back to America in 2015. I started dancing and volleyball, but decided to stop dancing to pursue volleyball. I’ve been homeschooled all my life so that I could travel with my family. My favorite color is green. I like to read. I love long walks on the beach. I love movies. After my last year with Aggieland Volleyball, I discovered my passion for coaching and decided that was the job for me. I’m so excited to go through this season with these girls. I’ll be attending Blinn in the fall and will major in education while coaching. My goal is to continue to grow in experience, and eventually coach at higher levels.

I have been playing for the past 8 years, and the last 6 being with Aggieland. In my junior year, my team won a gold ball at NCHVC Nationals, as well as my senior season, with a second Gold Ball and ended as the D2 National Runner Up! I am beyond excited to be able to continue being on the court with Aggieland this season and spread the joy and love volleyball has brought to me and my life!
Coach Steve Duncan I grew up in Gruver, a small 1A farming community in the top of the panhandle where I played football, basketball, tennis and track. I went to college for 2 years at Texas State where I met my bride-to-be Kathy and then transferred and finished with a civil engineering degree from TAMU. Kathy is a psychologist and came to TAMU to do her masters/doctorate work and we were married while I was still finishing up my degree. She has a counseling office at our church and runs a non-profit ministry to women called Royal Roots of Freedom. We have 7 kids ranging in age from 27 to 8 with the last one being adopted and 3 still at home.
I am an Engineer and work for Bleyl Engineering which is a consulting firm where my main focus involves design of public infrastructure. I am involved with several engineering technical and professional groups as well as the Bryan Noon Lions Club, Family Promise BCS, and am an Elder at Parkway Baptist Church. We also have a few rental houses including a furnished one that we use as a low-cost short-term housing solution for missionaries, etc.
I have volunteer coached little kids in all sorts of sports in various local leagues. My older 4 kids finished at KOR Education School where I worked with them in basketball, volleyball, and track. We began homeschooling with Covid, so the past few years I have helped coach with Cornerstone basketball, Aggieland volleyball/track, and Sprinters track.
Besides sports and chasing kids, I enjoy most outdoor activities and do a little bit of hunting and fishing.
Fun facts
- I got a ticket for driving without a license at age 12. I was headed to work so the
judge (a family friend) threw it out.
- I got fired by my dad from our family farm
- I graduated 3rd in my high school class, but didn’t make top 10% (there were only 26)
- I fouled out of every single basketball game my senior year
